SUMMARY:Giacomo Puccini’s TOSCA

SUMMARY:Amongst the Trees
DESCRIPTION:Director: Bronwyn Palmer\nPianist: Josh van Konkelenberg\n\nThis double bill pairs the surreal dream-world of Schoenberg’s masterpiece Erwartung with the premier of Daphne\, Ovid’s legend from the Metamorphoses retold from her own tragic perspective.\nSet in a forest\, and torn between dream\, myth\, and reality\, the two operas are united in\nthe schism between what we want and how the world truly is.\nSung by soprano Bethany Hill\, Daphne is written by the award winning playwright Fleur\nKilpatrick\, composed by Josh van Konkelenberg\, and directed by Bronwyn Palmer.
